As a junior, he completed 208 of 321 passes for 3,005 yards, 35 touchdowns, and only six interceptions. As a sophomore, he passed for 2,483 yards on 219-377 passing with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He redshirted in 2017. The next year, he played four games and made his UW debut by defeating North Dakota.

He also faced teams from Oregon State, BYU, California, and others. In his second season, he was permanently replaced by Jake Fromm due to a knee injury. He was seen playing for Fresno State University, where he passed for 2,021 yards and 15 touchdowns in only six games. In 2022, he may be able to play in more seasons.
